Rules for Volunteers (DO’S)

A volunteer should:

  • Follow the office rules and policies.
  • Be in simple and formal dress.
  • Readily greet and welcome the guests.
  • Maintain professional relation and friendly behavior with the office staffs.
  • Be punctual and loyal to the office.
  • Work in accordance with the instructions provided.
  • Notify the office management in case of absence.
  • Maintain office discipline
  • Bring in creativity on behalf of his/her daily work basis.
  • Always act as a facilitator.
  • Concentrate on identifying potential donor and report it immediately to office management.
  • Always carry Identity Card provided by the office.
  • Get orientation on office policies and rules.
  • Immediately contact the office in case of any trouble.
  • Seek the guidance from the office in case of any confusion.
  • Always provide beneficial suggestions feedbacks.
  • Work harder to accomplish the given assignments.
  • Study the reference materials when you have spare time.
  • Refer concerned person of the project for complete information.

Rules for Volunteers (DON’TS)

A volunteer should not:

  • wear any kinds of dress, which is not approved by the office management.
  • violate office policies and rules.
  • use alcoholic substance within office premises.
  • smoke within the office premises.
  • gossip or backbite that offence the office management and staff.
  • invite unknown person to the office without permission.
  • take leave office without permission, in case of urgency they need to inform the office management.
  • act as an instructor.
  • abuse the resource materials of the office. Such as telephone, Internet and other materials should not be improperly used.
  • wear extravagant clothes within the office premises.
  • waste time in unfruitful activities.
  • bring an outside work in the office.
  • play games in the computer.
  • receive money, materials, and any other resources in the name of the office without the notice of the office.
  • disclose information which is incomplete or partial concerning organization which may be harmful for the organization.
